I don’t care who you are or where you live, we all have one thing in common. We like to dream — to close our eyes and imagine that we’re living the life we were meant to lead. It’s a desire that’s imbedded in our DNA. To want more. Achieve more. Become more.
It’s why we start new businesses, write novels, learn to play the guitar, get our MBA, change careers, learn to cook, sew, or speak Spanish.
We’re all chasing a dream. Every day life dreams as well. Like simple happiness, good health, or financial independence; finding a place to call home, someone to love, or a path to inner peace. Perhaps it’s just a life with less pain, heartache, or loneliness.
Dreams are not only what make the world a better place, but you and I better human beings. We need to chase our dreams every chance we get. Fortunately, most of us do, and with all our hearts.
Unfortunately, many of us give up on those dreams almost before we even start, stuffing them in the back of our sock drawer until we forget they were there.
It’s easy to make excuses for our failed dreams, too. We don’t know where to begin, or we have no time, money, skills, or commitment. But, they real enemy is deeper and more insidious.
We’re plain worn out. We have no energy to chase our dreams…
I, along with my wife, started Live Exceptional as a way to manifest our dreams, to live an exceptional life, and to guide others along the way. I don’t know if it is a woman thing or just that my wife is more connected to the quantum energy that flows around us all, but she has honored our commitment to this dream more than I have.
I let the enormity or it, the unknownness of it get in my way. I feel that it has to be perfect, deeply connected, informative otherwise no one will listen. Hogwash!!
I have recently picked up a copy of Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza (highly recommend you check it out). I will be honest the message is not new, I have heard it from many of the teachers and guides I have encountered over the past year. Some how, however, the message finally sunk in.
It is about the journey…
I need to get out of my own way, clearly and with intention see what I want my future to become (in crystal clear detail), focus all my energy towards that vision, and then just let it unfold. It won’t be perfect, it won’t always be awe-inspiring, but it will be authentic…and that is what you, as my readers, I think are really looking for.
So, today, and everyday going forward I commit all my energy to sharing my journey towards becoming a better man, a better human, a connected soul, with the hope that others can draw inspiration from witnessing my triumphs and struggles, and therefore reclaim their own energy by breaking their links to the past and the future.
What dreams will you chase? What do you want your journey to look like? Stay tuned as I answer these questions and more…
